{"id":242,"date":"2020-03-03T16:23:31","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T16:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/obedienceuk.news\/wordpress\/?p=242"},"modified":"2020-06-12T11:10:35","modified_gmt":"2020-06-12T10:10:35","slug":"new-get-started-videos-become-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/obedienceuk.news\/wordpress\/new-get-started-videos-become-available\/","title":{"rendered":"New &#8216;GET STARTED&#8217; videos become available"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>THE ROAD TO CRUFTS: KENNEL CLUB LAUNCHES VIDEOS TO HELP OWNERS AND THEIR FOUR-LEGGED FRIEND \u2018GET STARTED\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The\n Kennel Club collaborates with Britain\u2019s Got Talent winner Ashleigh \nButler and other experienced Crufts competitors to create videos for \nowners who want to get active with their dog<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With\n Crufts returning to Birmingham this week, the Kennel Club has unveiled a\n series of \u2018Getting started in\u2026\u2019 videos, which show dog-lovers how they \ncan get involved in a range of activities with their canine companion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n interactive videos span agility \u2013 made up of various obstacles for your\n dog to run through, jump over, and weave in and out of alongside you; \nobedience \u2013 strengthening your teamwork and training; and heelwork to \nmusic \u2013 combining obedience, choreography and music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each\n video is narrated by a two-legged expert, with demonstrations from \ntheir four-legged teammate, including tips on how to get into the \nactivity, what it takes to be successful and practical training advice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Ashleigh\n Butler and her dog Pudsey won Britain\u2019s Got Talent with their \nimpressive heelwork to music routines, and are ambassadors for the \nbenefits of canine activities and stars of the Kennel Club heelwork to \nmusic video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashleigh\n commented: \u201cI am so pleased to be working alongside the Kennel Club on \nthis new project. Heelwork to music helps to create such a close and \nstrong relationship between me and my dogs. We both love learning new \ntricks together and it really helps the dog to understand their body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf\n you are looking for a fun new activity that involves both you and your \ndog, that will create a strong bond between the two of you, I would \nhighly recommend heel work to music.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anthony\n Clarke, Crufts Agility champion and Team GB competitor, is the host of \nthe agility video. Anthony covers the basic principles of agility, \nincluding the list of obstacles that dogs have to overcome and gives \nthose interested in starting in this high-speed, popular dog sport, tips\n on where to start and training advice important for success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anthony\n said: \u201cThe first thing is to find your nearest Kennel Club registered \nagility club, where you can find out more information and get a better \nunderstanding of what agility involves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAgility\n builds such a great bond between you and your dog, as well as keeping \nyou both active. If you are debating giving it a go&#8230;100 per cent go \nfor it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voirrey\n Horne&nbsp;presents the obedience video, and competes at the highest level \nof the discipline all over the UK, including at Crufts, with her Border \nCollie, Isla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\n added: \u201cObedience is a fantastic way to form a great bond with your \ndog. Teaching them new things in training gives a real sense of \nachievement and most importantly you both have fun doing it!
