{"id":267,"date":"2020-04-02T16:49:45","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/obedienceuk.news\/wordpress\/?p=267"},"modified":"2020-04-02T16:49:45","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:49:45","slug":"the-kennel-club-and-the-kennel-club-charities-emergency-relief-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/obedienceuk.news\/wordpress\/the-kennel-club-and-the-kennel-club-charities-emergency-relief-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"THE KENNEL CLUB AND THE KENNEL CLUB CHARITIES EMERGENCY RELIEF INITIATIVE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The\n Kennel Club, the Kennel Club Charitable Trust (KCCT) and the Kennel \nClub Educational Trust (KCET) have announced their intention to support \ncanine organisations in their communities which may be suffering genuine\n financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n Kennel Club has agreed to credits totalling \u00a325,000 for licence fees on\n those events cancelled between March and June 2020.&nbsp; However, the \nKennel Club is aware of potential problems coping with the financial \nconsequences of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.&nbsp; It is imagined that \nmany clubs and societies will have a financial reserve to protect \nagainst hard times and cancellations. But some, for their own reasons, \nmay now find themselves without adequate reserves or in significant \nfinancial hardship.&nbsp; These clubs are invited to contact the Kennel Club \nwho will consider loans or grants in the following circumstances:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Where\n the cancellation of a club show may have a further direct adverse \neffect on the annual provision of services to club members and others \n(e.g. support for rehoming, educational events).<\/li><li>The\n KCCT has agreed to help support those community-based canine \norganisations which require emergency funds in order to prevent the \nunnecessary suffering of dogs such as providing additional support for \nsmall to medium sized rescue centres.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li><li>The\n KCET will look to support those associated with the Kennel Club \noffering dog training services which may have been affected by the \nnegative consequences for dogs, due to Covid-19.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In\n the first instance, the Kennel Club and the charities will work to seek\n to understand the scale of the challenge and, therefore, how best to \nrespond to it within their financial and other resources.&nbsp; As such, \nclubs, societies and others mentioned above are invited to apply by 30 \nApril 2020 to the Kennel Club by&nbsp;using the form, which can be found via \nthe following link &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/thekennelclub.formstack.com\/forms\/emergency_relief_initiative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/thekennelclub.formstack.com\/forms\/emergency_relief_initiative<\/a> &#8211; to explain the scale of financial hardship they face as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n Kennel Club, will evaluate each application to match the available \nfunds against those evidencing significant hardship. &nbsp;Contact will be \nmade with the applicants when further details of the financial and\/or \nother help the Kennel Club and its charities may be able to offer are \navailable. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kennel Club, the Kennel Club Charitable Trust (KCCT) and the Kennel Club Educational Trust (KCET) have announced their intention to support canine organisations in their communities which may be suffering genuine financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
